- These cams work with solid or hydraulic lifters, and the idle remains unaffected up to 6000 rpm with stock valve springs
A2 Grind Cam
- Shovel-bolt in (except 80-81) no head work
- More mid-range and hi-end power
NOTE: On late 77 and later engines, the pitch diameter and the camshaft, pinion gear and breather valve gear was changed. These components are not interchangeable with earlier-style components unless replaced in sets only. Late 77 and later gear sets are identified by a circular grove machined in the outer face of the cam gear.
Intake Specs:
Open: 19 degrees
Close: 43 degrees
Duration at .053: 242 degrees
Valve lift: .450 in.
Pan: .470 in.
Exhaust Specs:
Open: 50 degrees
Close: 18 degrees
Duration at .053: 248 degrees
Valve Lift: .450 in.
Pan: .470 in.
